SRMTA COMMUNITY MUSIC AWARD
PURPOSE: To encourage students to take their music out into the community. ELIGIBILITY: Students of any age or level of music study, who is studying with a Saskatchewan Registered Music Teacher. BENEFITS TO THE STUDENT AND THE COMMUNITY:
VOLUNTEERING SUGGESTIONS: Musical volunteering ideas are not to be judged and might include:
AWARD LEVELS: GOLD CERTIFICATE: 35 hours from Silver Certificate plus 25 hours = 60 hours SILVER CERTIFICATE: 10 hours from Bronze Certificate plus 25 hours = 35 hours BRONZE CERTIFICATE: requires 10 hours A special thank you to the British Columbia Registered Music Teachers for sharing this idea with us. Individual teachers will be responsible for circulating the Record Sheets to students and forwarding the completed forms to SRMTA. Certificates are issued twice a year. Deadlines for submission are May 1 and Nov 1. Please include a $2.00 processing fee with submissions.
